The Believer can have sin and yet not do sin.
The evil nature, the flesh, is unchanged in its enmity against God, but the Abiding Presence of Jesus keeps it down.
In Faith the Believer Entrusts himself to the Keeping to the Indwelling, of the Son of God;
He Abides in Him, and Counts On Jesus to Abide in Him too.
Humble!
He is real.
He acts naturally and speaks gently.
Like his Master, he will take a towel…for he esteems others better than himself.
He is not too proud, either, to ask for their help when he needs it.
Sometimes the devil will attack our appointed time of Prayer.
Many have experienced this.
How subtle is the enemy.
If he cannot succeed in having our time of Prayer fully occupied with other things, he will see to it that we do not have Real Prayer at that time.
Frequently we are able to maintain the time of Prayer, but we lack the Life of Prayer.
We have grieved God’s Spirit;
We have tried to be Christians with as little as possible of God’s Spirit;
We have not sought to be Filled with the Holy Spirit.
All feebleness is owing to the refusal to obey God.
If each one will Stand in his Post, do his Share of Work, and Finish his Appointed Course, what a Glory shall be Seen!
1 JOHN 3.5-6
and you have known that He appeared that He may take away our sins, and sin is not in Him; everyone who is remaining in Him does not sin; everyone who is sinning, has not seen Him, nor known Him.
