Our natural good talents need also to die with Christ.
Work done by relying on natural ability can only please men for a time but does not impart to their spirit the actual work of the Holy Spirit.

Free Way Unhindered
The Lord is after Utter Responsiveness to Himself,
SO THAT He Can Have a Free Way Unhindered.
He Will Wait For Us
We humans are free-will beings.
As the Lord cannot deny His Own Will, so He will not coerce ours.
He will wait for us if His will is not Prayed Forth by us.
Results of Trial
Delight yourself in the Assurance that Closer Union with Him, and More Abundant Fruit Through Him, are Sure to be the Results of Trial, because it is the Husbandman Himself who is Pruning, and will Ensure the Fulfilment of the desire of the soul that Yields itself Lovingly to His Work.
Distractions
Beware! of the comfort and the distractions that friends so often bring.
Let Jesus Christ Himself be your Chief Companion and Comforter.
Believing Prayer
As the Blood Gives the Right, the Spirit Gives the Power and Equips us for Believing Prayer.
Believing
All who exalt themselves will go to hell.
If anyone desires to be Saved, he must Acknowledge himself as a Helpless Sinner.
He cannot Save himself, nor can he rely on himself.
Nothing under Heaven Requires More Humility than Believing in the Lord Jesus as Saviour.
