Abiding in Him!
SO THAT the soul Draws Away from self
And Finds that He has Taken its Place and Become our Life.
It is Becoming Like Little Children
Who have no cares and Find their Happiness in Trusting and Obeying the Love that has Done Everything for them.
When the created being lives by his created life, he does not need to be very Dependent On God.
But for the created being to Live By the Life of the Creator, he has to be Wholly Dependent Because the Life he would Then Live By is not his But God’s.

When the whole soul is Yield to the Holy Spirit, God Himself Will Fill it.
Let us Stand on the Ground of the Cross and let us – daily, hourly, consciously and unconsciously – Reckon our old man as Dead.
This is the secret of Overcoming sin and the devil.
If sin does not reign in us, the devil will have no ground in us.
On my part, Abiding is nothing but the Acceptance of my Position, the Consent to be Kept There, the Surrender of Faith to the Strong Vine Still to Hold the feeble branch.
Yes, I will, I do Abide in Thee, Blessed Lord Jesus.
We must learn to distrust ourselves, for we are prone to err; and the more self-assured we are, the more we are liable to go astray.
Abide in Me, and I in you.
In other words, Accept, Consent, to Receive that Divine Life of Union with Him.
As you Abide in Him, He Also Will Abide in you even as He Abides in the Father.
