Dwell often in the Private Place, with the door shut against the world, your work, your responsibilities.
There the Father Waits for you.
There Jesus will Teach you to Pray.
To be Alone in Secret with the Father: may this be your Highest Joy.
Words of Testimony: In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and be walking.
But alas, how many there are who still aspire to be God’s counselors.
Only those who do not Know Authority are those who wish to be Authorities.
Many good-hearted and well-behaved people, but they carry with them heads that belong to the old creation.
Their head is the head of Adam.
This curtails their ability to Know the Will of God.
THEREFORE, in measuring the Spiritual Life of a person, we need only measure his head.
To the degree that his head is Delivered, to that degree is he Delivered from Adam and hence Delivered from the old creation.
The basic difference between living in the old and living in the New Creation is Seen in the relationship between one’s head and God.
Every vine you ever see and every bunch of grapes that comes upon your table should remind you that the Branch is Absolutely Dependent on the Vine.
The Vine has to Do the Work, and the Branch Enjoys the Fruit of It.
Surrender is NOT a promising God to do His Will,
NOR is it making covenant with God to do what cannot be done.
TO SURRENDER is for me to take my hands off my own life.
